This vineyard is almost entirely composed of old vines planted in 1962, and stretches over a gravelly slope in Tayac.

The grape varieties are as follows : 70 %  Cabernet Sauvignon, 27 % Merlot, 3 % Petit Verdot and 1 %  Cabernet Franc.

The yield is limited to favour optimum ripeness of the grapes, which are harvested by hand.

The vinification is carried out using a careful combination of modern oenological techniques and age-old traditional methods.

Ageing : The wine is aged for 14 months in French oak barrels (40% of which are new each year).
